Area Police News: December 21, 2011

Jessica M. Krom, 18, of Hensonville, a student at ONC BOCES in Grand Gorge, was arrested by state police on December 14 and charged with disorderly conduct after she allegedly became enraged when another student didn’t want to speak to her.
Police say Krom followed the student to a classroom where she disrupted several classes with her screaming, cursing and demands to speak with the other student.
Krom was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Roxbury Justice Court on December 21.

Jeremiah L. Drake, 24, of Stamford was arrested by state police on December 16 and faces a number of charges following a domestic dispute with his half sister with whom he shares a residence in Stamford.
Police say they charged Drake with first-degree criminal contempt for allegedly violating an order of protection and also with second-degree strangulation and second-degree harassment.
He was arraigned in Village of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail to await a felony hearing.

Jean M. Fenton, 53, of Margaretville was arrested by state police on December 17 and charged with second-degree criminal contempt for allegedly violating an order of protection.
Fenton was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on December 22.

Josh Bobley, 44, of Margaretville was arrested by state police on December 18 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 28 in Margaretville for speeding.
Police say they charged Bobley when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .09 percent.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on January 5 at 9 a.m.

Miguel A. Caamano-Sotero, 24, of Elmhurst, was arrested by state police on December 13 and faces a number of charges following a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend at her home in Fleischmanns.
Caamano-Sotero was charged with second-degree harassment, second-degree criminal contempt for violating an order of protection and petit larceny.
He was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and sent to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.

Jason B. Briggs, 34, of Hobart was arrested by state police on December 14 and charged with DWI after police received a complaint of an intoxicated driver in Hobart.
Police say they stopped Briggs on Maple Avenue in the village and charged Briggs when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .12 percent.
In addition to DWI he was also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
He was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Stamford Justice Court on January 11.

Tyler J. Latta, 16, of Gilboa, a student at NCOC BOCES in Grand Gorge, was arrested by state police on December 14 and charged with third-degree assault after he allegedly got in a fight with another student that sent that student to Fox Hospital in Oneonta with a collapsed lung.
Latta was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Roxbury Justice Court on December 21.
