Area Police News: December 14, 2011
Sabrina M. Brooks, 33, of Stone Ridge was arrested by Shandaken Police Department Deputies Sunday after deputies observed her vehicle in the ditch along Route 28 in Shandaken.
Deputies report that when they advised Brooks that she was being placed into custody she allegedly attempted to prevent the arrest. She was charged with aggravated DWI and resisting arrest.
Brooks was issued appearance tickets returnable in Shandaken Justice Court at a later date.
Steven J. Vitale, 20, of Jefferson was arrested by state police on December 10 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after police spotted his vehicle parked in a no parking zone on South Street in Stamford.
Police say they issued Vitale an appearance ticket returnable in Village of Stamford Justice Court on January 5 at 9 a.m.
Carol A. Bruno, 47, of Prattsville was arrested by state police on December 8 and charged with DWI after she was stopped on Route 23 in Grand Gorge.
Police say they issued Bruno an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Roxbury Justice Court on January 18 at 9 a.m.
Denise M. Hogan, 50, of Margaretville was arrested by state police on December 7 and charged with aggravated DWI after she was stopped on Route 330 near Margaretville for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged Hogan when her blood alcohol level allegedly tested .20 percent. She was also charged with failure to keep right and failure to comply.
She was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on December 19 at 9 a.m.
Renni D. Peirce, 29, of Roxbury was arrested by state police on December 7 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of fireworks after he was stopped on Little Redkill Road near Fleischmanns for a traffic violation.
He was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on December 22 .
Navajo Runninghorse, 49, of the Bronx faces a number of traffic violations after he was stopped on Route 28 in the Town of Middletown on December 9 for speeding.
Runninghorse was charged with speeding, operating without insurance, switched plates and driving an unregistered vehicle.
He was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on January 9.
Jeremy L. Ferguson, 33, of Stamford was arrested by state police on December 6 and charged with trespassing and DWI following an incident on River Street in Hobart.
Ferguson was arraigned in Town of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $500 cash bail to await further court action.
