Area Police News: April 14, 2010

Danielle Somersall, 25, of Freehold was arrested by state police Wednesday and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after she was stopped on Route 23 in the Town of Kortright for speeding. Police say they also charged Somersall with speeding and failure to change her address with the DMV. Somersall was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Kortright Justice Court on April 20.

James M. Hodges, 30, of Davenport was arrested by state police last week Monday and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped on Route 10 in Delhi while allegedly speaking on a cell phone. Hodges was arraigned in Town of Kortright Justice Court where he pled guilty and was fined $750 to pay at a later date.

Daniel A. Patrocinio, 25, of Arkville was arrested by state police last week Tuesday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 28 for having no taillight. Police say they charged Patrocinio when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .08 percent. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on April 15.

Michael J. Castellano, 57, of Andes was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI after he was stopped for speeding on Delaware Avenue in Andes. Police say they charged Castellano when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .08 percent. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Andes Justice Court on April 15.

Lawrence G. Hills, 56, of Rome was arrested by state police Thursday and charged with speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped for allegedly driving 46 miles per hour in a 30 miles per hour zone in Hobart. Hills was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Stamford Justice Court at a later date.
