Area Police News: April 11, 2012

Howard A. Macken, 23, of Grand Gorge was arrested by state police on April 5 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after troopers stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation on Route 30 in the Town of Roxbury.
Police say they charged Macken after detecting the odor of marijuana, which resulted in a search of his vehicle.
Macken was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Roxbury Justice Court on April 18 at 9 a.m.

Lynette S. Hernandez-Hughes, 32, of Delhi was arrested by state police on April 6 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after the car in which she was a passenger was stopped by troopers on Main Street in Bloomville for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged Hernandez-Hughes after they smelled marijuana and a search of the vehicle allegedly turned up marijuana in her handbag.
She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Kortright Justice Court on April 17 at 7 p.m. Police did not release information on the car’s driver who the ticketed for speeding and not wearing a seat belt.

Alan B. Warner, 34, of Delhi was arrested by state police on April 8 and charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana after he was stopped for speeding on Route 10 in the Town of Delhi.
Police say they charged Warner after they allegedly found a bag of marijuana in his pocket and his blood alcohol test returned a level of .10 percent.
Warner was arraigned in Town of Delhi Justice Court and released to reappear at a later date.
