Andrew Gray Jr.

Andrew Gray Jr., 76, of Roxbury, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Roxbury. He was born Sept. 13, 1933 in Roxbury, the son of Andrew Gray Sr. and Bertha Berringer Gray.
He married Emily Mead on July 9, 1960 at the Roxbury Methodist Church in Roxbury.
Andy farmed until 1985, and was a self-employed operator of heavy equipment, excavator.
Andy enjoyed his family and working. His hobbies were hunting and walking his dogs, Riley and Rusty.
Surviving are his wife, Emily Gray, children, Joanne (Bill) Deleel, Ed Gray, Steve Gray, Doug and (Sue) Gray, Juanita and (Mike) Cole; 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6 at the Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church, Roxbury, with Rev. Richard Dykstra, officiating.
Burial will be in the Roxbury Methodist Cemetery in the spring.
Donations in memory of Andrew Gray Jr., may be made to the Roxbury Ambulance Fund.

Louis Kole Sr.
Louis Kole Sr., 92, of Margaretville passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Mountainside Residential Care Center, Margaretville.
He was born February 24, 1918 in Greenwich, Conn.
Louis was a Mess Sgt. in the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
He married Elizabeth Squires Kole. She died in 1984.
Louis was the owner of the ESK Trucking Company and the Delaware Cement Products in Margaretville. Several of the buildings in Margaretville were built using cement blocks made at his plant. He also served with the Civil Conservation Corps in Grimes, Idaho and Margaretville.
He was a full-time resident of the area since 1945.
Louis was a member of the Middletown American Legion Post 216; an honorary member of the Margaretville Fire Department and a shop steward for Construction Union, Kingston.
Surviving are grandsons, Raymond and wife, Michelle Kole and Gregory and wife, Kely Kole; a granddaughter, Christine and her husband, Michael Willig. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Tierra, Veronica, Gabriel, Arianna, Rebecca, Stephanie and Sarah, and a special companion, Mary McGrane.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, March 12 at Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville with Rev. Paul Catena, officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 1 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. Friday.
Committal services will be in the spring at the old Margaretville Cemetery.
