Andes garden tour planned for July 11
A self-guided tour of Andes Gardens sponsored by the Andes Public Library will take place on Saturday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants can pick up a map that day at the library from 10 a.m. on. The fee is $10 per person, children free.
A “baker’s dozen” of beautiful gardens, some in the hamlet, others on Palmer Hill, Dingle Hill & Bussey Hollow, could easily take up the full day. If you have less time or want to focus on gardens that suit your special interests, library personnel will help you choose the best ones for you to see, and the most sensible routes to take.
Consider having breakfast in town, picking up a lunch to go from one of Andes’ eateries, or taking a break mid-tour for lunch in town.
