Alfred Laureanti, 71, died peacefully at his home in Roxbury on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012.
He was born on May 14, 1941 in Bayshore, the son of Louis and Grace (Taylor) Laureanti. Alfred married Gloria VanNatta in 1965 on Long Island.
He was employed at Ethan Allen in Bayshore and later for John Biruk as a sawmill worker and carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Gloria Laureanti and their children, Laura Porretta and her husband, Angelo of Guliford, CT, Ann Laureanti and her companion Kim of Illion, Alfred Laureanti and his wife Carinda of Norwich, and Cheryl Stewart and her husband Dave of Lewisville, OH. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Calling hours were held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
A funeral services was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 22, 2012 at the Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Engelhardt, officiating.
A committal services will be held at a later date in the Kelly Corners Cemetery.
Donation in memory of Alfred Laureanti may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice.
