Addison Ormsbee, Jr.
Addison Ormsbee Jr., a resident of Grand Gorge for 55 years, died Monday, July 1, 2014 at Oneonta.
Addison was born June 30, 1935 at Blenheim, the son of Addison Ormsbee, Sr. and Pauline Lee. He married Elizabeth (Keith) Ormsbee on June 18, 1960 at Voorheesville. She died March 21, 2013.
He drove truck, worked on a farm, and was employed at the charcoal plant in South Gilboa as a laborer. He enjoyed fishing and being with his family.
Addison is survived by a son, Phillip Ormsbee of Georgia; daughters, Lisa Pearsall and Travis Post and Jennifer and her husband Chris Shultis; grandchildren, Michael and Olivia Ormsbee, Desarié Fairbairn, and Chris Shultis Jr. and a sister, Mary Engle. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Ormsbee.
He was predeceased by a son, Brian Ormsbee and a daughter, Debra Pearsall.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home in Roxbury on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m.
A prayer service will be conducted by Phillip Ormsbee following the calling hours at 8 p.m.
A committal services will be held at a later date at the Fairview Cemetery in Grand Gorge.
