Aasta B. Liddle, 87, a lifelong area resident, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 at Countryside Care Center, Delhi, where she had resided since April 7, 2004. She was born in Norway on September 9, 1921 the daughter of Edward and Anna (Pedersen) Berg. Aasta was a graduate of Andes School.
She married Floyd O. Liddle May 15, 1943 at Andes Presbyterian Church.
Aasta was a homemaker, enjoyed bowling, making crafts and volunteering at Countryside Care Center.
She was a member of the Andes Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ladies Church Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Mark Liddle, Andes; a daughter, Nancy McClenon, Arizona; a granddaughter, Rachal and Robbie Nash; a brother, John Berg, New Jersey; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Lionel VanKleeck, Walton and a cousin, Millie Johns, Andes.
She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Liddle on May 12, 2007; a sister, Borchild Huska and brothers, Edward, Paul, Sverre and Kaare.
Funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 20 at the Andes Presbyterian Church, Andes with Rev. Gerald Norris and Rev. Joseph Bokel officiating.
Burial is in Andes Cemetery, Andes.
There were no calling hours.
Donations in her memory may be made to Andes Presbyterian Church Auxiliary, Catskill Area Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
