Weddings

Jediah Porter and Annie Trujillo were married in a double ring ceremony on Sept. 6, 2008. Jed is the son of Mike and Becky Porter of Margaretville. Annie is the daughter of Susan and Jeff Allsbrook of Brentwood, California and Frank Trujillo of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The wedding was held at the home of Coralynn and Arturo Estrada, aunt and uncle of the bride, in Reno, Nevada.

Christine Castelli, daughter of Phil and Laurie Crotty and George and Nancy Castelli of Newburgh and Robert Sherwood, son of Rande and Susan Sherwood of Roxbury, were married on July 5, 2008 at the St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson.

Margaretville residents Anna Potts and Bill Blish were married on September 6, 2008 at the Hidden Inn in South Kortright. The Rev. Ralph Darmstadt officiated at the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Howard VanLoan Sr. of Highmount.

Kathryn Elizabeth Gillen Lawrence and John William VanBenschoten were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Roxbury. The bride, daughter of Joan Lawrence-Bauer of Oliverea and JR Lawrence of Margaretville, wore a floor-length, ivory beaded gown by Oleg Cassini, an antique headpiece from the VanBenschoten family, and antique cameos from the Lawrence family as she was given in marriage by her parents.

Ashley Lynn Lalosh of Roxbury and Erik Pettersen of Bay Shore, L.I. were married on May 18, 2008. The Best Man was Brian Williams, of N.C., and Maid of Honor was Seanna Haskin of Roxbury. Ashley is the daughter of William Lalosh and stepdaughter of Karyn Lalosh of Roxbury. Ashley’s mother is Debbie Briggs of Grand Gorge.
