Roxbury names honor students for second quarter

Roxbury Central School has announced its Honor Rolls for the second marking period of the 2009-2010 school year.


RCS Olympiad teams advance toward regionals

The junior high team and the high school team are both moving forward toward their regional tournaments. The high school team will compete on Feb. 6 at the College of Saint Rose in Albany. The junior high team will compete on March 13 at Ravena Middle School South of Albany.


Fiedler named to Dean's List

Billy Fiedler, son of Dee and Bill Fiedler, has been named to the Dean’s List at Pace University in Manhattan, where he is majoring in criminal justice. Fiedler, a junior, has a grade point average of 3.7.


RCS honor rolls omitted names

Several classes and names were inadvertently omitted from Roxbury Central School’s Superintendent’s List that was published in last week’s Catskill Mountain News.


RCS grad earns honors scholarship

Jonathan Dykstra, a senior at Roxbury Central School, has been awarded an academic honor scholarship from Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa, for the 2010-11 school year.

Cole is cum laude law school grad

Melissa Cole of Andes graduated cum laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School on Sept. 26. She was on the Dean’s List and the Honor Roll. Melissa is a graduate of Andes Central School and also of Elmira College, where she earned a B.S. in mathematics in 2006.
