Sean T. Mulligan, 22, of Delhi was arrested by state police on October 1 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Arbor Hill Road in the Town of Delhi for driving a vehicle with no taillights.
Police say they noticed that Mulligan’s speech and coordination were impaired and charged him when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .12 percent.
He was arraigned in Town of Kortright Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail to await further court action.

Shandaken Police report the arrest of a Queens woman for an alleged past assault that took place at a wedding reception on August 25 in Mt. Tremper. Police state that April M. Grech, 31, struck another woman who was attending the same wedding causing a laceration, bruising, and vision problems. Grech was charged with third-degree assault and released with an appearance ticket returnable on October 18 in Shandaken Justice Court.

William W. Hrazanek, 66, of Fleischmanns was arrested by state police on September 18 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding after he was stopped for speeding on Main Street in Fleischmanns.
Police say Hrazanek’s license had been suspended for failure to answer a summons out of the Town of Roxbury Justice Court.
He was issued traffic tickets and then arraigned in Town of Bovina Justice Court and released to return to the Town of Middletown Justice Court at a later date.

Matthew Santiago, 24, of Willow was charged with one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana after police initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle in which Santiago was a passenger. The incident occurred September 14 on Route 23 in the Town of Roxbury. State police said that a search of Santiago yielded $634 cash; approximately 22 grams of crack/cocaine broken up into 25 separate Baggies, two digital scales.

Deputies from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua W. Balcom, 25, of Margaretville on August 25 on the charge of third-degree criminal trespass.
Balcom was intoxicated in a public setting causing a disturbance at Summerfield’s Restaurant and Bar. Balcom was requested to leave the establishment on several occasions and refused to leave. Balcom was escorted out of the establishment, however he forcefully re-entered and continued to act in an unruly manner and remained unlawfully therein.

Joseph P. Villarosa, 53, of Arkville was arrested by state police on August 24 and charged with third-degree menacing after he allegedly threatened a woman with a tire iron who had driven up his driveway. The woman, who works for a mortgage company, had driven to the property to determine if it was occupied.
Villarosa was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and released on his own recognizance to reappear on September 12.
The court also issued an order of protection for the unidentified woman.

Shandaken Police report the arrest on August 16 of Leander M. Ferris, 60, of Big Indian and Florida. Police say Ferris was wanted for a number of outstanding bench and arrest warrants from Shandaken and Woodstock courts in 2002 and 2010. Police say that he was allegedly lighting up a glass pipe containing marijuana when the found him Thursday morning.
Ferris was charged with bail jumping and unlawful possession of marijuana and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.

Shandaken Police report the August 11 arrest of Kathryn M. Hopper, 54, of Newburgh for DWI after she was stopped for a traffic violation. Police say they observed her vehicle failing to maintain lane.
In addition to DWI she was also charged with three other traffic violations. She was arraigned at Olive Town Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail to await further court action.

Delaware County Deputies arrested Brigid McGinn, 50, of Bovina on July 27 for issuing a bad check. It is alleged that McGinn issued a check while not having sufficient funds to cover the check. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Bovina Town court on August 21 at 1 p.m.

Timothy E. Shafer, 36, of Hobart was arrested by state police on August 1 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Harper Street in the Village of Stamford for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged Shafer when his blood alcohol lever allegedly tested .12 percent.

On July 27, Delaware County Deputies investigated a motorcycle accident on Route 30 in the Town of Middletown. The operator was Zsolt J. Zilahy, 39, of Fleischmanns who was traveling north on Route 30 when he lost control and crashed into the guardrail. He was transported to Margaretville Hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies were assisted on the scene by Margaretville Fire Department, Roxbury EMS and Margaretville Hospital EMS. No tickets were issued.
