Area Police News: June 4, 2014

Cindy A. Manon, 30, of Arkville was issued a ticket by state police on May 20 charging her with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
Police say that stopped Manon on Route 28 in Arkville when they saw her driving and knew her to be a person with a suspended license.
The ticket is returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on June 11 at 9 a.m.
Brian E. Kingsbury, 40, of Stamford was arrested by state police on May 21 and charged with petit larceny after he allegedly stole a 12-pack of Twisted Tea from the Tops Market in Stamford.


Area Police News: May 21, 2014

Erik L. O’Connell, 35, of Long Beach was arrested by state police on May 16 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 28 in Margaretville for a traffic violation.
O’Connell was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and then remanded to the county jail in lieu of $500 cash bail to await further court action.
Emily E. Arvanete, 17, of Denver was issued a ticket by state police on May 14 charging her with passing a stopped school bus on Hawk Hollow Road in the Town of Roxbury.
The ticket is returnable in Town of Roxbury Justice Court on May 28 at 7 p.m.


Area Police News: May 14, 2014

A Roxbury man was charged with reckless driving Sunday morning when, according to Roxbury Constable Steve Will­iamson, he woke up almost everyone who lives along Main Street in the hamlet at 4 a.m. by spinning his tires while making at least two passes up and down Route 30.
Constable Williamson says he charged Garrett Hinkley, 18, with reckless driving and gave him an appearance ticket returnable in Roxbury Justice Court.
Williamson told the News that Roxbury’s Main Street was covered from one end to the other with black tire marks from Hinkley vehicle.


Area Police News: April 30, 2014

John E. Peters, 46, of Roxbury was arrested by state police on April 19 and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny after he allegedly stole tools and equipment from a residence on Route 23 in the Town of Roxbury.
Police say the missing equipment was recovered at Peters’ residence.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Roxbury Court on May 7.
Two Fleischmanns residents were arrested by state police on April 21 and face several charges following a domestic dispute that involved one of the defendant’s mother and aunt.

A level three sex offender and New York State parole absconder apprehended by members of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and United States Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force on Wednesday morning faces additional charges. 


Area Police News: April 16, 2104

Delaware County Deputies arrested Nick Malaxos, 67 of Margaretville on April 8 for one count of issuing a bad check a class “B” misdemeanor in violation of the New York State Penal Law. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Roxbury Town Court on April 23 at 7 p.m.


Area Police News: April 9, 2014

A Prattsville man faces a number of traffic charges following a high-speed chase Sunday that ended when he went off county Route 919 in Gilboa.
Roxbury Constable Steve Wil­liamson reports that the chase, with speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour, began on Route 30 in Grand Gorge where he first tried to stop the vehicle operated by Jason Conklin, 37.
Williamson reports that after Conklin went off the road and into a field, he tried to flee the scene on foot.


Area Police News: April 2, 2014

James Zoccoli, 61, of Shady was arrested by Shandaken Police on March 26 and charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
He was arraigned in Town of Shandaken Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail to await further court action.
Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Frank A. Darmody, 34, of Arkville on March 27 on an arrest warrant from Town of Jefferson in Schoharie County.
Deputies located Darmody at his residence in Arkville and turned him over to Schoharie County Deputies.


Area Police News: March 26, 2012

On March 20, Delaware County Deputies responded to suspicious activity in a field adjacent to a residence located on state Route 10 in the Town of Hamden. Upon arrival, deputies located several individuals present in the field. Upon further investigation, Dominick C. Mucaria, 20, of Farmingdale was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage by a minor and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Mucaria is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hamden Court at a later time and date.


Area Police News: March 19, 2012

Two Delhi brothers, Jonathan K, 17, and Michael P. Stein, 20, were each charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on March 14 after state police responded to a domestic dispute call at their home and found the two sitting in a truck in front of the home where they smelled the odor of marijuana.
Police say they issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Delhi Justice Court.
Sarah E. VanBlarcom, 28, of Arkville was arrested by state police on March 16 and charged with DWI after she was stopped on county Route 18 in Stamford for an equipment violation.
