On Friday, Dec. 7, as part of an ongoing effort to identify and prosecute suspects involved in the trafficking of illicit drugs in Delaware County, members of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two men for selling drugs in Downsville.

Kathleen M. Denario, 50, of Stamford was arrested by state police on December 1 and charged with petit larceny. Police say Denario left the Stewart’s Shop in Stamford without paying for several food items after having had an argument with staff in the store about getting a refund for an earlier purchased item.
Denario was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Harpersfield Justice Court on December 10 at 7 p.m.

Lindsay R. Borodin, 29, of Fleischmanns was arrested by state police on November 20 and charged with writing a $25 bad check to a Main Street, Margaretville merchant.
She was transported to the Town of Middletown Justice Court where she made restitution and paid court costs.

Taunia A. Regan, 29, of Prattsville was arrested by state police on November 25 and charged with DWI drugs after she allegedly parked in a handicapped parking spot on Lake Street in Stamford where police found her asleep in her car.

An Ulster County woman was charged with multiple felonies on November 13 after she attempted to drive her car into a male acquaintance when he took refuge in the Big Indian Post Office.
The incident unfolded after Denedra L. Harkless, 32, of Oliverea Road, Big Indian reportedly had a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old male acquaintance from Brooklyn who had been visiting her. Shandaken Police said that Harkless initially used her 2004 Dodge Neon to pin the legs of the victim against a guardrail.

Vincent P. Bell, 56, of Kingston was arrested by state police on November 7 on an active warrant for a parole violation.
Police say they located Bell at the Mirabito gas station in Hobart and took him into custody without incident.
Bell was taken to the county jail in Delhi to await further court action.

Abigail R. Clark, 20, of Delhi was arrested by state police on November 9 and charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated harassment after she allegedly called a home in Arkville after having been told not to do so.

The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a Shokan couple, possibly due to carbon monoxide poisioning from an electric generator, according to a release.

The deceased are James Stapleford, 75, and Eva C. Stapleford, both of Black Road, Shokan.
Sheriff’s deputies said their office received a call about 7 p.m. Monday from a daughter in Pennsylvania who had been unable to reach her parents.

Joshua A. Volpe, 33, of Windham was arrested by state police on November 3 and charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief following a fight with his girlfriend’s brother at her home in Mountain View Estates in Stamford.
Police say they issued Volpe appearance tickets returnable in Town of Stamford Justice Court on November 13.

Elaine Lilholt, 53, of Delhi was arrested by state police on November 3 and charged with DWI after she was stopped on Arbor Hill Road in Delhi for a traffic violation.

Cypris J. Gregoria, 18, of Grand Gorge was arrested by state police on October 22 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police say the arrest took place at Roxbury Central School and that they were responding to a call from school officials.
Gregoria was issued an appearance ticket returnable on November 7 at 9 a.m. in Roxbury Justice Court.

Robin M. Chesebro, 30, of Davenport was arrested by state police on October 28 and charged with DWI after she was stopped by state police on South Delaware Street in Stamford for a traffic violation.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of County Route 23 and Loomis Brook Road in the Town of Walton on October 17 at about 10:05 p.m., for a 911 report of an occupied vehicle stopped in the roadway. Upon arrival deputies found a tan Oldsmobile running with the brake lights on, stopped in the roadway on Loomis Brook Road with a male operator asleep at the wheel. Upon further investigation Deputies arrested Christopher S.
