Area Police News: June 29, 2011

Bruno K. Naubereit, 55, of Otego was arrested by state police last week Tuesday and faces a number of motor vehicle charges after he was stopped at the intersection of Route 10 and Peak’s Brook in Delhi.
Police say they charged Naubereit with having no insurance, uninspected, aggravated unlicensed operation, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
He was issued tickets returnable in Town of Delhi Justice Court on July 12.


Area Police News: June 22, 2011

Delaware County Deputies arrested Foster C. Borfitz of Roxbury for making a terroristic threat a class D felony. It is alleged that Foster made threats against Delaware County Department of Social Services workers as well as law enforcement personnel.
The arrest stems from an incident that took place in the Town of Roxbury on June 8. Foster was arraigned in the Town of Delhi court and was released on his own recognize to reappear at a later date.


Police News: June 15, 2011

Members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT) report the arrest of an additional defendant in a countywide drug sales investigation. Adam A. Demskie, 28, of Pine Hill, and also 26 Brewster Street, Kingston, was arrested by URGENT members in the Town of Shandaken on June 8.


Area Police News: June 8, 2011

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Robert J. Giordano, 22, of Grand Gorge on May 28 for criminal mischief, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Deputies assisted Roxbury Town Constable in arresting Giordano.
The charges stem from a complaint that Giordano was taking the American flags that were lined along Main Street in Grand Gorge and throwing them into the street. When deputies approached Giordano, he allegedly became very loud, obnoxious, and refused any instructions given to him.


Area Police News: May 25, 2011

Russell W. Scudder, 40, of Fleischmanns was arrested by state police last week Tuesday and charged with DWI after he was stopped for speeding on Route 30 in the Town of Roxbury. Police say they stopped Scudder for allegedly driving 90 mph in a 55 mph zone and charged him with DWI when his blood alcohol content allegedly tested .10 percent.
Scudder was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Roxbury Justice Court on May 30 at 7 p.m.


Police News: May 18, 2011

Michael S. Weisbrod, 25, of Grand Gorge was arrested by state police last week Monday and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped on Route 23 in Grand Gorge for a traffic violation.
In an unrelated incident, police say they also charged Weisbrod with second-degree harassment for allegedly sending harassing e-mails to an ex-girlfriend.
He was issued appearance tickets returnable in Roxbury Justice Court.


Police News: May 4, 2011

James L. Evans, 59, of Arkville was arrested by state police Friday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 28 for a traffic violation.
Police say they issued Evans an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on May 12 at 9 a.m.

Jackalynn J. Grant, 39, of Roxbury was arrested by state police Friday and charged with second-degree criminal contempt after she allegedly violated an order of protection that had been granted by the Delaware County Family Court.


Area Police News: April 27, 2011

Donald C. Shamus, 19, of Delhi was arrested by state police last week Monday after he was stopped on Phoebe Lane in Delhi for speeding.
Police say they charged Shamus with speeding, DWI drugs, and driving with no license. He was arraigned in Town of Delhi Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.

Alexander J. Dapice, 18, of Patterson, was arrested by state police last week Monday after he was stopped on Main Street in Delhi for speeding.


Area Police News: April 20, 2011

Matthew A. Santiago, 22, of Willow was arrested by state police Thursday on a bench warrant issued by the Town of Middletown Justice Court charging him with failure to pay a previously levied fine. Santiago was arraigned and released on his own recognizance to reappear later.

Rebecca Alvarado, 21, and Miguel A. Caamano-Sotereo, 23, both of Fleischmanns were arrested by state police Thursday on a bench warrant issued by the Middletown Justice Court charging each of them with failure to appear/failure to pay a fine.


Area Police News: April 13, 2011

Charles W. Ingram of Margaretville was arrested by state police Thursday and charged with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing following a domestic dispute that allegedly occurred Wednesday night. State police say they charged Ingram following a complaint from his wife who also requested that an order of protection be granted.
Ingram was arraigned in Town of Roxbury Justice Court and released after he posted $250 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Middletown Justice Court on April 14.
