Area Police News: June 20, 2012

Aaron J. Scudder, 25, of Margaretville was arrested by state police on June 13 on a warrant charging him with violating of the terms of his probation.
Scudder was remanded to the county jail without bail to await a probation violation hearing.

John Sanders, 58, of Roxbury was arrested by state police on June 15 and charged with petit larceny and trespassing after he allegedly cut several trees on a neighbor’s property off Dugan Hill Road in the Town of Roxbury.


Area Police News: June 13, 2012

On June 10, as a result of a domestic incident, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office arrested John C. Todd, 30, of Roxbury on charges of first-degree criminal contempt and third-degree assault.
Todd was arraigned at the Town of Roxbury Justice Court and made bail that was set at $1,000. Todd is scheduled to appear before the Town of Middletown Court on Thursday, June 14 at 9:00 a.m. for a felony hearing.


Area Police News: June 6, 2012

John C. Todd, 30, of Roxbury was arrested by state police on June 2 and charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated harassment following what police called a domestic dispute with his ex girlfriend at her residence.
Todd was issued appearance tickets ordering him to report to the Town of Middletown Justice Court on June 6 to answer the charges.

Donald A. Green, 49, of Stamford was arrested by state police and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped on Harper Street in Stamford.


Area Police News: May 23, 2012

In April the Shandaken Police received a complaint from Belleayre Mountain Ski Center concerning the larceny of a large pile of scrap metal stored on the property. During the same time period police were receiving numerous other complaints of scrap metal larceny in Shandaken.
In May, Shandaken Police and investigators of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Department and member of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Taskforce began a joint investigation of the thefts.


Area Police News: May 16, 2012

New York State Police investigated a fatal car/motorcycle vehicle collision which occurred on May 12 at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the intersection state Route 10 and Falls Mills Road in the Town of Delhi. State police report that Betsy K. Clark, 48, of Delhi was operating a 2005 Subaru on Falls Mills Road when she attempted to make a left turn from Falls Mills Road onto Route 10 when she collided with a 2001 Triumph motorcycle being operated by Joshua A. Turan, 22, of Leeds. Police say Turan had been southbound on Route 10 at the time of the accident.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Marcus L. Robinson Sr., 38, of Delhi on May 1 for third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, and endangering the welfare of a child.


Area Police News: May 2, 2012

Shandaken Police report the arrest on April 24 of Roger A. Berry Sr., 67, of Shokan after they received a call alerting them about an altercations at a local business.
Police responded to the scene and arrested Berry, charging him with second-degree harassment. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Shandaken Court at a later date.


Area Police News: April 25, 2012

Shayne D. Wilber, 20, of Mt. Tremper was arrested on April 17 by Shandaken Police and faces nine traffic tickets after police received complaints from neighbors of a loud motorcycle operating in the area.


Area Police News: April 18, 2012

Ryan M. Porter, 19, of Stamford was arrested by state police on April 10 and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and endangerment of property following a fight at the Country Store in Stamford. Police say Porter confronted another man at the Country Store and allegedly punched him in the face, breaking his nose, before fleeing the scene. Property in the store was damaged during the fight. Authorities say the incident may have been provoked over a woman.


Area Police News: April 11, 2012

Howard A. Macken, 23, of Grand Gorge was arrested by state police on April 5 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after troopers stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation on Route 30 in the Town of Roxbury.
Police say they charged Macken after detecting the odor of marijuana, which resulted in a search of his vehicle.
Macken was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Roxbury Justice Court on April 18 at 9 a.m.
