An item in the Area Police News section of last week’s Catskill Mountain News incorrectly reported that Cody J. Smolin, 20, of Roxbury was arrested by state police and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. The News regrets the error.
The report should have stated that Smolin was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Roxbury Justice Court on October 9. The incident revolved around a pair of boots that were allegedly stolen from a Margaretville store on September 25.
