Charles Geehrer

Charles Edward Geehrer, 77, of Margaretville, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010.
He was born on June 28, 1933 in Flushing. He was the youngest child and only son of Charles E. and Lillian (Peyton) Geehrer. He and his sister Eileen wee brought up in a home that valued reading, music and family celebrations.

Lela Rossman

Lela A. Rossman, 58, of Margaretville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at her residence.
She was born on December 27, 1951, in Margaretville, the daughter of Leonard and Norma (Voorhees) Shultis.

Lela married Eugene Rossman on August 18, 1972. They were married for 38 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Margaretville.

Minerva Ann Todd Archibald

Minerva Ann Todd Archibald, 72, of Margaretville, passed away at home Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, with her family by her side, following a long battle with cancer. She was always called Ann, and was born on June 13, 1938, at the original Margaretville Hospital. She was the daughter of Marshall Ney Todd and Nellie (Vredenburgh) Todd of Dry Brook Valley.

Mary Giella

Margaret Giella, 95, passedaway peacefully Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Kirkside Adult Home in Roxbury.

She was born January 17, 1915 in New York City, the daughter of Peter DeGennaro and Theresa (Castellano) DeGennaro.

Margaret married Julius T. Giella on November 25, 1939, in the Bronx.
She had lived in Roxbury for the past 35 years and was retired.

Joseph Aulino Sr.

Joseph T. Aulino Sr., 73, of Roxbury and Spring Hill, Fla., passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010 at his son’s home in Roxbury.

He was born June 4, 1937, in Paterson, N.J., the son of Joseph and Rose (Raymond) Aulino.
He married Helen Tanis on September 20, 1959, in Paterson, N.J.

David Ronning

David Ronning, 83, of Halcottsville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 at his residence.

He was born in Norway August 22, 1927, the son of Alf and Dagny (Thorp) Ronning. David married Ester Kilvik.

He worked as a technician for Western Union in New Jersey. After retiring he moved to Halcottsville in 1988.

Surviving are his wife, Ester Ronning of Halcottsville.

Vincent “Dugan” Kovalsky

Vincent “Dugan” Kovalsky, 74, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Margaretville Hospital.
He was born April 12, 1935 in Nyack, the son of Vincent and Ann (Cayot) Kovalsky.
Dugan was a graduate of Haverstraw High School.

Arthur Bross

Arthur J. Bross, 74, beloved father, husband, brother, brother-in-law and grandfather of Margate, FL, passed away at his home Wednesday, October 13, 2010.

Mr. Bross was very active in city politics for 22 years. He was mayor of Margate and city commissioner; property manager for Campbell Property Management Company and he was also an active memer of the Margate Democratic Club.

Rose Ann Goodchild

She was born January 15, 1926 in Haynes Hollow, Dry Brook, the daughter of Mannie E. and Bessie (Dougherty) McCann.

Gladys Johnson

Gladys Hattie Johnson, 88, of Roxbury, passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 at Margaretville Hospital, Margaretville.

She was born in Blenheim on May 28, 1922, the daughter of Warren and Edna Vermilyea Moore.
She married Kenneth Johnson April 9, 1944 in Bloomville.

Gladys was part of the cafeteria staff of the Roxbury Central School for 20 years. She retired in 1983.
