Terrence Henderson

Terrence Lee Henderson, 77, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at his seasonal home in Rancho Mirage, Calif. He will be mourned by the many who knew him, worked for or with him, who shared good times, laughed, played, discoursed and were inspired by him.

Mary E. Craft, 94, passed away at Mountainside Residential Care Center, Margaretville, Wednesday, July 21, 2010. She was born in the Town of Middletown on July 3, 1916, the daughter of James K. and Lizzie C. (Platt) Hendricks. She married Elwin Robert Craft on August 25, 1934 at Dunraven.

Julian Wiedemann

Julian Albert Wiedemann, 87, of Roxbury passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Robinson Terrace, Stamford. He was born March 18, 1923 in Roxbury, the son of Albert and Nora (Place) Wiedemann. A lifelong area resident, Julian graduated from Roxbury Central School with the class of 1941.
He served in the United States Air Corps from Sept. 18, 1942 to Oct. 18, 1945 as a Tech Sgt.

Betty Veit

Committal services for Betty Veit who died December 4, 2009 at Arlington, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29 at the old Margaretville Cemetery, Margaretville, with Rev. S. Hayden Walsh officiating.
Arrangements are by the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.

Hildegard Padrock, 77, of Hicksville and Andes, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at her home with family at her side.

Elizabeth Larkin

Elizabeth “Skip” Agatha Larkin, 90, of Clay Road, Ulster Park, died Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Kingston Hospital. She was born April 8, 1920 in Walton to the late Lowell A. and Frances K. (Hawley) Signor.

Mrs. Larkin had worked for Cabrini Home, Art Craft Camera, Hercules; she drove bus for Chappie’s Bus Company, Acker Bus Company and had run the Port Ewen Sub Shop.

Bruce Platt Sr.

Bruce Allen Platt Sr., 60, of Bonsville, Mass. died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at home after a long illness.

Bruce was born on June 18, 1951 in Margaretville and was a longtime resident of Shandaken where he was an active member of the Shandaken Fire Department. He enjoyed motorcycle riding.

He was the son of the late Roy C. Platt who died in 1999.

Harry Larsen

Harry Larsen, 71, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at home with his wife, Ydun and family by his side. He fought a brave fight against cancer.

Harry was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 14, 1939. At the age of 18 Harry served for two years in the Danish Royal Navy. Harry LarsenHarry Larsen

Mary Seebeck

Mary E. Seebeck, 88, a longtime resident of Grand Gorge, passed away in Arcadia, Fla. on Sunday, June 6, 2010 following a long illness.  

She was born December 16, 1921 in Margaretville to Achille and Angelina Cerquozzi.  

In 1977 she retired after teaching first grade for 32 years at Grand Gorge Central School.  

Kjell Fane
