Elaine Cook Williams, 64, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, surrounded by her husband, Charlie Williams and her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Leslie Harris. She was born in Greenville, S.C., on August 9, 1944, the daughter of Roy and Ruth Anne Glascoe.
Elaine graduated from the University of Georgia with both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree and worked as a speech pathologist in Atlanta. In her spare time she was part of a theatre group that took the show “Red, White and Maddox” to Broadway. When the show closed, she chose to stay in New York and continue her career as speech pathologist.
