Elton Ridge

Elton Wendell Ridge, 91, of Roxbury, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at his home.
He was born October 14, 1919 and raised by his Quaker grandparents, Kathryn and Monroe Ridge in Philadelphia, PA and Seaside Park, NJ.

He graduated from Frankford High School in 1937 and during the Depression years worked in restaurants, selling magazines and candy and at DuPont, Pompton Lakes, NJ.

On February 8, 1959, Pompton Lakes Mayor proclaimed that day as Elton Ridge Day.


Thomas Bergmann

Thomas Bergmann, 59, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
He was born on Long Island December 8, 1951, the son of Frank and Gloria Bergmann.

He will be greatly missed by his two children, Katie and Max, his brothers and sisters, Frank, Dolores, Bill, Tim, Jim, Christine, Keith and George.
Thomas was predeceased by his parents Frank and Gloria Bergmann.

The funeral was held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3 in East Hampton.


Dr. Gerald S. Burday

Dr. Gerald S. Burday, 78, clinical psychologist and mentor to The Arc of Delaware County, died in his Monticello home on Thursday, July 7, 2011.

He was born in the Bronx, the son of the late Franklin and Pauline Savetsky Burday. He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Ruth Burday in 1994.


Angelina A. Agostinello

Angelina A. Agostinello, 84, of East Meredith, passed away at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown Tuesday, July 12, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Oyster Bay, Long Island, February 14, 1927.
She married Anthony Agostinello June 8, 1947. They resided in Bayville, Long Island, until 2000, when they relocated to East Meredith.

They were both parishioners at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Stamford.


Marian Beauchaine

Marian Ackerley Fairbairn Beauchaine, 90, of Schenectady, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Ellis Hospital.

She was born July 15, 1921 in Turnwood, the daughter of Etta Mae Sprague and Howard Ackerley.
In addition to her parents, Marian was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Fairbairn, her second husband, Benoit Beauchaine and six siblings.

Marian’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.


Rolf Heiseler

Rolf Heiseler, 74, of Roxbury, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Margaretville Hospital.
He was born February 11, 1937, in Braunschweig, Germany, the son of Nicholas and Hedwig (Wiesener) Heiseler.

He married Betty Harrington December 8, 1990, in Roxbury.

Rolf worked as a butcher in Long Island before moving to Roxbury. He was retired from the Saratoga Sheriff’s Department, where he was employed as a correction officer.
He left his beloved homeland Germany and came to the U.S. in 1956.


Vincent E. Wojciechowski Jr

Vincent E. Wojciechowski Jr., 61, died Friday, July 8, 2011, at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.

He was born March 27, 1950, in Plainfield, NJ, to Vincent Wojciechowski Sr. and Jean Dalton Wojciechowski. He is survived by Linda Wojciechowski of Edison, NJ.

Vinny served honorably in the Vietnam War. He was a man who was proud of his whole family. He loved his life and loved his family and wife more than anything.


Ruth Hansen

Ruth C. Hansen, 78, of Margaretville, passed away unexpectedly in her home.

Ruth was born July 18, 1932, and spent most of her childhood in Hoboken, NJ. She was the daughter of Joseph and Katie (Wagner) Novak. Ruth was married to John P. Hansen, who predeceased her in 1994. An active member of the Delaware County Republican Club for many years, Ruth was a registered nurse employed by various hospitals in the New Jersey area, including Revlon in Edison, NJ.


Christine Schultheis

Christine Kay Knapp Schultheis, 38, of Schenevus passed away peacefully with her loved ones at her side on Thursday, June 23, 2011 an Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown after a long battle with cancer.
Christine was born on August 6, 1972.

She was a very happy outgoing person. She would lend a helping hand at all times. She enjoyed writing poetry and listening to music. She is now a beautiful angel shinning in the sky.


Robert MacKay

Robert A. MacKay, 70, a resident of Margaretville, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Margaretville Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1941 in Pennsylvania, the son of Alan and Margaret (Walton) MacKay.
He married Louise Martire on October 25, 1975 in Lynbrook, Long Island.

Bob was a self-employed building contractor and in prior years had worked at Malone Construction Company in Merrick. After moving to Margaretville, he also worked for Al Mathis contractor.
Bob and Louise moved to Margaretville June 24, 1979 from Long Island.
