Pearl M. Lockwood, 96, of Stamford, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Robinson Terrace Residential Care Center, Stamford. She was born October 21, 1912 in the Bronx, the daughter of Charles and Fannie (Anderson) Downey. She married George F. Lockwood on March 16, 1933 at the Church of the Holy Name, Valhalla.
Pearl lived in Hopewell Junction and North Blenheim before moving to Stamford.

Hanford “Hank” Shultis, 81, died suddenly Thursday, April 2, 2009 at his home in Sun City, Ariz.
He was born March 28, 1928, the son of John and Mildred Shultis.
Hank grew up on a farm in Denver, N.Y. He enlisted in the Army reserves in 1945 and served in the Army Signal Corp.

Memorial services for Doris Tuttle, 88, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., will be held June 20, at 11 a.m. at the Margaretville Cemetery.
Doris was born in Davenport, N.Y. She and her late husband, Arthur, moved to Margaretville during World War II where they owned and operated a paint store on Main Street for many years.
Doris graduated from Bloomville High School at the age of 16.

Gregory C. Sprague, 72, of Andes, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 after a short illness.
He was born in Shavertown on April 16, 1937, the son of the late Truman and Goldie (Sutton) Sprague. Greg was self-employed as a handyman and carpenter. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering with machinery.

Evelyn T. Klink, 90, of Mount Morris, formerly of Bradenton, Fla., died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris.
She was born the daughter of Herman and Jean Konanz on March 26, 1919, in Teaneck, New Jersey.
Evelyn graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alfred University.

Jan Alyce Long, 61, of Deer Lane, Oliverea, died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston. She was born August 11, 1947 in Margaretville, the daughter of the late Richard and Barbara Bedell Gavette. She was an active and lifelong resident of the Catskill Mountains.

Lilly Selby, 98, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Mountainside Residential Care Center, Margaretville. She was born November 12, 1910 in Trnava, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Maxmilian and Gizela (Krammer) Grunstein.

Michael R. Kelly, 53, of Church Street, Woodstock, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009 at his residence He had recently moved from the Woodstock area where he had been a resident for almost 20 years.
He was born July 21, 1955 in San Francisco, Cali., son of the late Robert S. and Martha Ward Kelly.

Phyllis Myers Wallace, 82, formerly of Pine Hill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2009 at Hospice Family Care in Tucson, Ariz. She was born December 18, 1926 in Margaretville.
Phyllis married John “Jack” T. Wallace on November 1, 1952.

Shirley A. Mead, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. She was a resident of Mountainside Residential Care Center for the past eight months.
She was born July 17, 1941, in Arkville, the daughter of the late George and Helen (York) Decker.
Shirley graduated from Margaretville Central School in 1960.
