Theodore Finkle

Theodore Leland Finkle Sr., 62, of Beech Hill, Andes, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born February 2, 1948 in Delhi, the son of the late Isaac W. and Maude E. (Titch) Finkle, and grew up on military bases in Hawaii, where he was an avid surfer, returning to the area in his teens.


Steven T. Fabrykiewicz

Steven T. Fabrykiewicz, 59, died at his home in DeLancey on Monday, Aug. 2, 2010.

Steven was born on October 8, 1950 in New London, CT to the late S. Tom and Louise (Weingarten) Fabrykiewicz. He grew up in New London spending much of his time fishing and exploring his corner of the world. He was an extraordinary varsity football player and an accomplished golfer.


Anne Farnum

Anne M. Farnum, 68, of Roxbury, passed away Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at her residence.

She was born May 21, 1942, the daughter of Charles and Marion Conner Inman.

Anne graduated from Oswego College with a B.A. degree as a certified elementary teacher and later earned her remedial reading certification.


Helen Minier

Helen Agnes Minier, 85, of Margaretville, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at Mountainside Residential Care Center where she lived since 2008.

She was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., on October 22, 1924, the daughter of Leo Blaine and Helen (Schram) Minier. She never married.


Steven Fabrykiewicz

Steven Fabrykiewicz, beloved husband of Beth McGuire, devoted father of Peter and Sam Fabrykiewicz, and principal broker of Real Estate 28 died suddenly at home in DeLancey on Monday, August 2.  

Funeral services are pending.

William Ruff

William A. Ruff, 86, of Delaware Avenue, Andes, passed away Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at O’Connor Hospital in Delhi.

He was born on the family farm (Crystal Farm) Town of Andes on March 26, 1924, the son of Fred and Mabel (Worden) Ruff.

Bill was married to Thelma Taylor on April 8, 1961, at the Advent Christian Church, Margaretville, by the Rev. Albert Larcombe.


Terrence Henderson

Terrence Lee Henderson, 77, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at his seasonal home in Rancho Mirage, Calif. He will be mourned by the many who knew him, worked for or with him, who shared good times, laughed, played, discoursed and were inspired by him.


Mary Craft

Mary E. Craft, 94, passed away at Mountainside Residential Care Center, Margaretville, Wednesday, July 21, 2010. She was born in the Town of Middletown on July 3, 1916, the daughter of James K. and Lizzie C. (Platt) Hendricks. She married Elwin Robert Craft on August 25, 1934 at Dunraven.


Julian Wiedemann

Julian Albert Wiedemann, 87, of Roxbury passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Robinson Terrace, Stamford. He was born March 18, 1923 in Roxbury, the son of Albert and Nora (Place) Wiedemann. A lifelong area resident, Julian graduated from Roxbury Central School with the class of 1941.
He served in the United States Air Corps from Sept. 18, 1942 to Oct. 18, 1945 as a Tech Sgt.


Betty Veit

Committal services for Betty Veit who died December 4, 2009 at Arlington, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29 at the old Margaretville Cemetery, Margaretville, with Rev. S. Hayden Walsh officiating.
Arrangements are by the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
