Thomas H. Wander of Weaver Hollow Road, Margaretville, died after a long illness, Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, in St. Charles, Ill. He was born in Queens, N.Y.

Albert A. Filupeit, 87, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, a former resident of Dry Brook, Arkville, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. Mr. Filupeit was born March 27, 1922, in Brooklyn and had lived in Dry Brook from 1932-1939. He had lived in Cheyenne since 1963.

Ruth Quintero (nee Kiefer), 93, of Coconut Creek, Florida, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home in Arkville on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009. She was the loving wife of the late Gerard Quintero Jr.; cherished mother of Elyse (Gary) Leven and Barbara (Albert) Verdesca.

Clinton Eugene Hunter, 70, of Helene, Alabama, formerly of Roxbury, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. He was born in the Town of Roxbury November 22, 1938, the son of Bert and Ella (Mayes) Hunter. He graduated from Roxbury Central School in the class of 1957.

Bruce A. Dugliss, 60, formerly of Phoenicia, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 at the home of his daughter in Fayetteville. He was a lifetime area resident, who began summer vacationing, and later became a full-time resident.

Jessie Martello, 98, passed away at Mountainside Residential Care Center Wednesday, Sept. 16. 2009. She was well loved by her family and by anyone who met her. Her death came quietly and quickly. Among her attributes as an excellent mother, Jessie was known for being an exceptional dressmaker and made all of her clothes, her children’s clothes, her grandchildren’s clothes and was a designer, creating outfits that were indescribable.

Jeanette Aronson, 100, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at Mountainside Residential Care Center, Margaretville. She was born April 12, 1909 in Rochester, the daughter of Barnett and Jenny (Meltzer) Aronson.

Percy E. Newcomb, 87, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany. He was born February 15, 1922, in Prattsville, the son of Osmer and Lena (Albarti) Newcomb. He married Gladys Graham on March 28, 1948, at the Methodist Church in Fleischmanns.

Christopher Russell Wil-liams, 53, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 in Syracuse after a long battle with ALS. He was born in Islip September 28, 1955, grew up in Margaretville and settled in Syracuse with his wife, Denise.

Chris R. Schroeder, 52, of the Town of Hardenburgh, Margaretville, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 at his residence. He was born Nov. 5, 1956 in Staten Island, the son of Robert and Edna (Helt) Schroeder.
He graduated from Margaretville Central School in 1970 and attended SUNY Delhi studying computers.
