Pine Hill Community Center hosting family-friendly events

The Pine Hill Community Center will be hosting a series of holiday events to help raise funds for the center’s various programming, including helping them make their building more energy efficient.
The events are the Third Annual Chili Fest on November 15 from 1 to 5 p.m., a Local Arts and Crafts Fair featuring the work of local artists and crafters on November 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Songs of the Earth pasta dinner and concert featuring James Krueger, Evan Pritchard and the Princes of Serendip on December 6 from 5 to 8 p.m., and Catskill Community Radio’s Catskill Cabaradio on December 13 from 6 to 9 p.m.


Three-day festival over holiday period planned in Pine Hill

The Pine Hill Oktoberfest will be held from Friday-Sunday, Oct. 11 through 13 in the hamlet and will feature a number of events. Things get underway on Friday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. when Ernie Williams performs at the Colonial Inn. Saturday and Sunday events begin at noon each day and will include exceptional German food, beer, wine, music and more.


Valk honored with Rotary award for 54 years

Fleischmanns resident Milt Valk was honored with an award celebrating his 54 years of service to the Fleischmanns-Pine Hill Rotary Club last Wednesday during a dinner at the Pine Hill Arms Restaurant.
District governor Dave Reynolds was in attendance, as well as Lana Rouff, who takes over as district governor this week.


Septic system workshop planned

 

“Your Septic System: What Every Homeowner Needs to Know,” will be the subject of a free workshop on Friday May 9 at 2 p.m. at the Pine Hill Community Center at 287 Main Street, Pine Hill.


Buses to state capital to boost Belleayre Mountain

Nearly 100 supporters of Belleayre Mt. Ski Center are expected to board two buses Thursday morning for a trip to Albany to meet with legislators on behalf of the beleaguered resort. The bus trip is the third in a series of activities designed to show legislators, media outlets, and others in the region the importance of Belleayre Mt. Ski Center to the Route 28 corridor between Ulster and Delaware counties.


Pine Hill Arms Triathlon set to roll Saturday

The Pine Hill Arms and Belleayre Mountain Ski Center will present the 17th annual Pine Hill Arms Triathlon this Saturday.
Created that long ago by Pine Hill Arms co-owner Robert Konefal, the race starts at 1:30 p.m. sharp at the ski center and ends on Pine Hill’s Main Street, where participants and spectators flow into the Pine Hill Arms for some post race fun.
